According to many, the weight loss paleo diet plan is an analogue of Atkins’ eating system. Yet, this is quite wrong.

The paleo diet plan is based on foods, which were consumed by hunters and gatherers in ancient times. Simply put, your plate should contain only what you could get for dinner on your own, is you were in the Paleolithic era:

vegetables,
berries,
fruits,
nuts (unsalted),
mushrooms,
herbs,
eggs,
vegetable oil,
meat (lean ),
fish.

The only thing is that products should be heat-treated in a very simple way (remember that you supposedly cook your food over a fire), like baking or boiling. Aero grill or slow cooker will suit best for preparing your paleo diet menu.

Since cavemen had no idea about agriculture, your meals should never contain: 

  • wheat
  • rye
  • oats
  • rice
  • barley
  • corn

This means, all kinds of domesticated industrial cultures, as well as products made from them.

Unfortunately, you will have to forget forever about:

biscuits,
pies,
porridge,
refined sugar.

If after a heavy meal, your hand reaches for a bonbon, remember about the delicate silhouette of Uma Thurman and give the bonbon to your colleague.  If it does not work, eat an apple. After all, as the saying goes, if you do not want the apple, then you do not want to eat at all. The good news is you won’t have to suffer without sweets at all: the paleo diet menu allows consuming natural honey.

The greatest advantage of the Paleo diet lies in the fact that you do not need to count calories and starve while keeping it. Generally speaking, you may consume the above listed foods in any quantity, but still try not to overeat.

Do not forget about physical activity – our ancestors were leading a very active lifestyle while fighting for their food, so you are advised to lie on the couch as little as possible. Instead, you should move, using every single opportunity.

Hold on to the paleo diet plan at least a week and you will see the results. When the arrow on the scale goes down, you will immediately have a huge weight loss motivation and you certainly will not want to abandon halfway what you already started.
